Highlights and Important Remarks

  • Valid Passport: This is the most crucial document. It must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of departure from St. Kitts and Nevis.
  • Return or Onward Ticket: You will need proof of your intention to leave the country.
  • Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) / Online Immigration Form:
    • All visitors are required to complete the Online Immigration and Customs ED Form (Electronic Declaration Form). This is typically free of charge and can be completed via the St Kitts and Nevis e-Border mobile app or on their website.
    • Note: While a formal eTA for all visitors was recently implemented (or is planned for the near future, starting around mid-2025 according to some sources), the ED Form is the standing requirement for all arrivals. Please check the latest official government site for the most up-to-date requirements based on your travel date.
  • Proof of Accommodation: Confirmation of your hotel, villa, or other place of stay.
  • Visa (If Required): Most travellers from the US, Canada, UK, and Schengen countries do not need a visa for stays under 90 days, but citizens of other countries should confirm their specific visa requirements.
  • Other Useful Items:
    • Driver's License (if you plan to rent a car—you'll need to purchase a temporary local license).
    • Copies of your passport/ID, flight, and hotel reservations (keep these stored separately from the originals).
  • Official Currency: Eastern Caribbean Dollar ($\text{EC\$}$).

  • Accepted: US Dollars USD$ are widely accepted.

Light, Breathable Fabrics: Pack clothing made of cotton, linen, or moisture-wicking materials (T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, light skirts).
Swimsuits: At least two so one can dry.
Cover-Ups/Sarongs: Essential for transitioning from the beach or pool to a casual beach bar or restaurant. It is considered disrespectful to wear beach attire (bikinis, bare chests) in the main towns, shops, or outside of the immediate beach/pool area.
Sun Protection:
Wide-brimmed hat or cap.
UV-protection sunglasses.
Footwear:
Flip-flops/Sandals (for the beach and poolside).
