Locations

Port of Spain

Port of Spain, on Trinidad’s northwest coast, is the vibrant capital of Trinidad and Tobago. Famous for its carnival—second only to Rio’s and loved for its lively, safe atmosphere—the city pulses with energy year-round.

A bustling hub since 1757, Port of Spain is perfect for a couple of days of exploration. Shop along Frederick and Charlotte Streets, from lively stores to street stalls selling everything from fresh fruit to local music.

As evening falls, Independence Square comes alive with locals liming—chatting, sampling street food, and soaking up the city’s rhythm. It’s the perfect way to feel the heart and soul of Trinidad.
